Description

For the process of creating FIRE_SEV03, refer to its metadata. This layer was created by making a copy of FIRE_SEV03, then calculating any polygons that had a fire severity rating between 1 and 6 to equal the same value (1) for the field "FIRE", then dissolving the layer on this field in ARC/INFO. Donut polygons then had the "FIRE" field calculated to 2.
