- Purpose
- The main purpose is to assist all DELWP staff with the management and consideration of recreation facilities. Facilities and activities have been classified in a uniformed system aiding in desktop analysis, planning and promoting recreation within State Forests. All facilities have a geo-referenced photo that can be viewed through MapShare. Risk assessments have been conducted when data was collected and will continue to the conducted every 6 to 18 months. Risk assessment and all other information can be obtained through the RecWeb database on the Departments Intranet.
- Supplemental Information
- History: Formerly RFDB_TRACK 19 July 2017 - Structural Change Added new columns PADDLING and PADDLING_C to reflect new paddling activity along track December, 2018 Addition of Unique Feature Identifier (UFI), a combination of the entity id and update date. Added activity ranking columns for optimised mapping display. Relationship to other Datasets: VM_TR_ROAD Current Design Issues: Recreation Facilites Database datatsets are currently captured as individual shapefiles which are validated, merged and migrated to the FORESTS schema of the corporate SDE evironment via an Arc/Info aml based process. Attribute Quality
- Comments
- Recreation Facility attributes were collected on site. The majority of the attributes are from drop down lists which minimises errors.
Positional Accuracy
- Comments
- Data has been collected with a Trimble pro XR GSP with an external antenna. The majority of points have sub metre accuracy, detailed in the attributes. The upper limit of accuracy is within 10m for 95% of the data. All data has bee post processed using GPSnet base stations.
